The internet is growing so big and so fast that many, many people still mistrust it.

Mr and Mrs Mid-Fourties, like myself,  are learning to trust it for the shopping but waiver over internet banking the idea of paperless statements to save the planet has only just hit TV as an ad. They will surf for holidays but in the and they will talk to a person to make sure what they have found is real. They search for insurance deals on this, that or the other but, in the end, they too will have the human desire to contact the companies. If they don’t call first. On shopping sites the couple need the reassurances of feedbacks and ratings but the idea that their new whatever will never arrive still lingers. .

But perhaps sometimes an opportunity means just that, an opportunity.  Something to make use of. To use. To work at. An opening, a chance, that just might result in something positive. A positive outcome from an opportunity.

I needed to change career and begin to work at home. Writing is about the only thing I can do but I quickly realised the type of writing I had been doing for 12 in education was for all intents and purposes useless and I needed to ‘retrain’. After looking at many websites and buying a few books, I realised I needed to approach my new learning more comprehensively and quickly if I was to ever earn a living from it.

CMPS provided exactly that and so much more. Seriously.

Once I had expressed my interest and signed my program folder was Fed Exed  from Arizona to me in Liverpool UK in four days. I have been given two websites and a blog with an easy work through guide.

CMPS have organised and special deals  with Ebay, Google and Amazon and click through rates.

In return I get to practice and develop my web writing skills; seo, article, press release and in particular advertising. In return for the level 1 and level 2 tutor support, web training videos and daily lesson emails, ebooks and CDRoms, and  even a mailing system, I place ads to my website where CMPS’s own ad is strategically placed.

 I build the sites up as I choose using my own and CMPS’s key words to attract traffic. Since I earn money from each visit to my site and any activity connected with it, in one instance, for up to 4 weeks afterwards, I think it a positive relationship. I also get to join a SEO, and Marketing classes. I joined the IT support group Simply Computers so I could learn some of the techie stuff.( It may be useful later.)

CMPS want ads placed for the two sites they have given me placed as widely as possible and even provide samples, examples and proformas. With more investment they direct even more traffic to the sites and I get a second user friendly manual via Fed Ex on marketing advice and tips and a free book by Dan Kerschell.

I don’t sell, other than through my astore. I don’t spam because CMPS teach me the power of listings and effective internet marketing. I don’t have to resort to annoyances. CMPS do all the work with interested clients I just follow my 14 steps to certification, learning and earning whilst I do it. And it’s fun.

I just sit placing my ads, twiddling with websites making money and use of my opportunity not mindlessly surfing the endless net.

So, this opportunity is proving positive. I have received checks with more to come. And the CMPS course is proving to be something I can make use of once the program is complete and I have my certification. I intend to mirror the skills I am learning to become a CMPS for my own company; FreshFreelance. It goes on line soon and although I have my own webmaster, CMPS introduce you to The Webmaster and his host of widgets, banners opt ins and various other tools. For FreshFreelance I will be writing the landing page, creating the online business profile and  generally handling the advertising and marketing.

I would never have been able to adapt to business online  with in 6 weeks without

CMPS even though I had a business in the real world before teaching.

For me, trusting the internet is paying off. I am getting the training I need, they are getting their ads. That’s all it is really.
